Although there has been no official announcement yet, all the signs are pointing towards a new BlackBerry that will have WiFi capability and, of course, the ability to use that connection to stream internet radio.
The BlackBerry 8800 was notably deficient in the wireless stakes, but the rumours of this being rectified in the 8820 are gaining credibility.
Engadget Mobile has published a comparison chart between the elderly 8700 and the 8820 and it clearly shows WiFi and a media player in the 8820 column. Put the two together and what do you get? WiFi Internet Radio of course.
BoyGeniusReport also fanned the flames with a nice piece of detective work involving looking at an XML file used in the OS of the 8800 series. It clearly shows WLAN capability.
The middle of 2007 seems the most likely launch date at the moment.
